MSBKN along with Rotary Club of New Road City, Inner wheel Club of New Road City jointly organized one day “Free Uterus Screening Health Camp” in Hokse Health Post, Panchkhal-8, Kavre on January 18, 2020. The camp was organized through sponsorship of Rotary Club of New Road City, Inner wheel Club of New Road City, Aama Chori Foundation for Hope, USA.  In collaboration with the Ward Committee of Panchkhal Municipality-8, Kavre, Hokse Health Post, Rotaract Club of New Road City and Interact Club of New Road City.  The team of experienced health practitioners from NAHUDA Health Clinic, Lagankhel, Lalitpur were involved in the overall examination of the women in the Health Camp.

The health camp was conducted from 9 am till 3 pm (includes time for registration, checkup and closing meeting); It included screening on 152 women from different parts of Panchakhal Municipality Ward no-8, Kavre. The team of NAHUDA were involved in examination of the women who were registered in the Health Camp during the whole day. The team of volunteers from Rotary Club of New Road City, Inner wheel Club of New Road City, MSBKN, Rotaract Club of New Road City and Interact Club of New Road City and Hokse Health Post were involved in the management of the Health Camp.

The Health Camp included screening of Cervix (VIA Test), Breast Examination, Normal Health Checkup like Blood Pressure checkup, urine test along with doctor’s consultation, free medicine, referral of serious cases to Hospitals. 

Findings of the Health Camp are as follows:

VIA test conducted in all the visitors i.e. total of 152 rural women and all were found negative in possible cervical cancer. However, most of the visitors were found having issues in Cystocele and Rectal pro-lapsed.  In order to avoid such issues, they were advised to do basic exercise of the uterus and also advised not to do hard-labor work.  Other findings are as follows:

  • Infection of Cervicitis for 4 rural women
  • Infection on Vaginitis for 16 rural women
  • Cervical Polyps in 2 rural women
  • Prolapse in 6 rural women
  • UTI infection in 5 rural women
  • Possibility of Uric-Acid in 5 rural women
  • Cystocele (prolapsed bladder) in 12 rural women
  • Rectal pro-apsed  in 1 rural women
  • Cystocele/Rectal both in 12 rural women
